Four more days!

I must say, I prefer it to brush fire season.

That, perhaps.

More likely the fact that Floridians are in general a lot more blasé about hurricanes than they are about brush fires. Hurricanes are like the unwanted relative that comes to stay in your attic for the summer.

ewwwww.... I remember nights in hurricane shelters wondering if the roof was gonna hold or not. But we always made it... never had to wonder if we were figments of the immagination of the person sitting next to us... i think...

heh. I've never stayed in a hurricane shelter, ironically. I live 10 minutes from the coast, and I work 2 blocks from the coast, but the closest I came to a shelter is when we went into "lockdown" last year and I had to sleep at my job. Not fun.
